My object isn’t exactly an object or tradition, nor is it something that everyone pays attention to, although it is something that everyone at some point does. My object is nothing more than writing. Writing isn’t something important to my family, nor is it important to my family’s history. I personally don’t have a strong connection with my family which is the main reason why I don’t have anything that is significant or important to my family’s history. Writing is something that could be looked down upon in the eyes of my mother, although my father is fine with it. I had started writing at a young age just like many others. I would always write small letters to my dad that usually had the same meaning, but that didn’t stop my dad from smiling at me when I gave him the letters. That ended quickly when my younger sister was born. Although it stopped me from writing to my parents, that didn’t stop me from writing whenever I could during class. Throughout the years, I had started learning a bit of cursive while I started improving my hand writing. At that point, my handwriting turned italic with a bit of cursive, meaning my handwriting looked very cursive when you saw it from a far distance. Once I got into middle school, I started writing stories which was a way for me to break away from reality. I had moved to a new school so the stories I wrote helped me get comfortable with the new students. I had resulted to writing a lot, using as many details in one paragraph as I could to keep myself busy with the make-believe world I created.
