Woodcarving

Relationship: Child of im/migrant

My object is a woodcarving. The woodcarving has a little boy on it with a red nose and it has Jason spelled out on the bottom. My Father’s name is William, but in England he was called Jason because his father's name was also William. It would hang usually on a bedroom door in this case my father's when he was a child. This wood carving came from England, and my Father had brought it with him when he immigrated to America. This object is important to my Father because he got it as a gift from Robert Watson his godfather when he was a little boy. Having this object reminds me of the family that my Father had left to come live with my Mother, and how I'm thankful when I get the opportunity to see them.
