Wind-Up Bird
This artifact belonged to my Great Great Grandfather. This old Wind-Up Bird was made in 1927. It is symbolic to my family because it was my Grandmother’s toy that my Great Great Grandfather gave to her for her 5th Birthday before he died. My Great-Great-Grandfather bought it from a local toy store in Bridgeport, Connecticut. It will still move today, but you can't twist the top for a long time or else it will break or just stop working. This artifact gave me a new perspective about other toys in this time period because the quality of this toy kind of tells me what other toys would be like.
Place(s): Bridgeport, Conneticut.
