Whipple Blanket
Relationship:
Great-grandchild of im/migrant or more
This blanket belonged to my grandmother Mildred Eads Gruenheck. She was born in Appleton, Wisconsin in 1912 and had this blanket all her life. It was passed down to her through her mother's side, the Whipples. Our family doesn't know exactly how old it is or what it was purchased for, but it's likely 300 years old. My grandmother gave it to my mom and my mom gave it to me a few years ago. It means so much to me to have an object that links back so many generations. Here you can see my son John lying on it. He loves it too.
