Everybody has something related to their family or their culture that means a lot to them.Mine is a wedding ring.This ring belongs to my great grandparents, who gave it to their children and so on. This ring is passed from generation to generation in the family. The ring is made of gold with pearls on top. This ring is important to me because it came from my great ‘s grandparents, that I haven't had the chance to know. I feel like wearing it is like they are near me and watching  over me wherever I go. It's connected to my family because it contains the whole history of my family. In my country , Haiti , It symbolizes a certain form of protection to wear something left by your grandparents. People used to say that it’s like they will always watch you and protect you everywhere . That’s why my parents decided to give this ring to my sister when my family came here, because the ring will protect us and it will be like they were here with us. It’s important all of it is  a part of my family tradition .
