I’m from Ukraine. I lived in Lviv many years ago. This is very old city in Eastern Europe. There I was wearing vyshyvanka for any holiday. The vyshyvanka is very important to Ukrainians – everyone wears a vyshyvanka. Women and men wear vyshyvanka when it is a holiday, a special day in their lives. 

From ancient time this garment was a guard. The vyshyvanka is important for my memory. Vyshyvanka reminds me of my land and special moments in our life. When I left Ukraine, I wore my vyshyvanka home and in church. My vyshyvanka is very special to me because it connect me with Ukraine.
