My great grandpa came from Puerto Rico and my other great grandpa came Poland before they had decided to come to America. When my Great grandpa came to the United States he was still adapting to American life styles. In Puerto Rico, his family lived very close to the beach where he had fell in love with the ocean and the nature within the water. In 1941, he had decided to take a trip to Charlotte, Vermont near Lake Champlain. He traveled the dirt roads through New York, all the way up to Vermont. The camp site, “Campbell's Bay”, which he had stayed at is still up and running. My great grandpa took my dad when he was born and ever since it has been a family tradition. To this day, my whole family goes the first week in August.

Place(s): Lake Champlain
