The item in the picture is a pair of earrings in the shape of Trinidad. Trinidad is an island located in the Caribbean, and is also where a large majority of the family on my mom’s side are from, including my mom. My Caribbean background is a major influence in my life, and I am very proud to be a part of Trinidadian culture. These earrings were given to me by my grandmother. I hope to eventually pass these earrings to my future granddaughter as well, and start a new, everlasting tradition in my family for generations to come.
