My object is the traditional Greek costume that I wear every year at the Greek Independence Day Parade. This and many of the other costumes I wear for performances and other activities have shaped who I am today, and are a continuous reminder of where I come from, and how my ancestors were enslaved and fought for their freedom. My heritage and history are showcased every time I put on a traditional costume.
