This carpet holds significant value and meaning to me.  My dad never went to school and the only thing he did, along with his siblings was to work with their parents.  My parents fled from Tibet and after arriving in Nepal, the only thing they were able to do was to weave handmade carpet.  My family had difficult times financially.  My mother and aunts worked along with my dad.  For my family, weaving carpets and getting orders from people was our only way of getting income.  Due to my parents not being educated, every day and night they’d weave carpet.  If the product is finished, then we get paid.  This carpet was the first carpet my parents had designed for me when I was 7 years old.  I loved colorful flower, hence the carpet was designed with many colorful flowers.  This carpet has been with my family for almost 15 years until now.
