This is the story of how the friend I have known for as long as I can remember had to leave our country because we had no future there. The last time I saw him, he gave me this watch that he had for many years and he gave it to me with some inspirational words that I will never forget.  He said, “Time never stops, realize what you have now and value it and never stop chasing your dreams; always value the time you spend with your parents and the people you love because you don't know when they will stop being here.” This is the reason why I always wear this watch as a souvenir of him, and it reminds me that the time I spend with the people I love the most is something more important than I think and makes me appreciate it as one should enjoy the small and big moments in life.
