Karen Traditional Headband

This object is the Karen traditional headband and what it means to me is like – it’s special. It shows my culture, pride. I chose this object because I thought it was unique because on the very bottom of the little headband, it has the picture of horns and the traditional flag. I chose to bring this because it brings a lot of memories and it’s just the pride in the culture and how our people are and how unique and just our culture is. When I came here, there was Karen New Year and Wrist Tying Ceremonies and I would dance in the show and do traditional dance with traditional clothing and I would wear the headband with it.
