My mother always had a dream that my father would brings me to the United States so that I would have a better education opportunity. She was fortunate that my father brought me and I was very happy when they gave me the Visa because she always wanted the best for me because she was very good with her. When I come to the United States she gave me money to buy me “ The Virgin of Altagracia”, it is very important for me because it is part of me and my mom bought it with her effort to protect me from all the bad things that i could happen to me. The Virgin of Altagracia is a category religion of Dominican  Republic. When I was in the Dominican Republic , I always went to the “Basilica In Higuey” to see the Virgin with my father and stepmother. The Virgin of Altagracia connects with my identity because it is part of my country and all Dominicans know about the Virgin of Altagracia. The necklace reminds me of where I from and reminds me of my mom and how important my mom is to me and everything she had to do buy my necklace to protect me from the bad things. Well I think that in the future I will do the something that my mother did and I will buy necklace from the Virgin of Altagracia to my children so that just as I remember how they know about the virgin of Altagracia and I will tell they the story or why I give to take care of it and the protects of everything bad and I will stay with her to reminds me of my mother always and how important she is to me.
