As far as I can remember these words were spoken in my brothers and my ears ”gentle meek and mild”. I don't know what was so special about those few words but they always gave me a warm feeling and sense of comfort. Whenever I heard those words, we knew it was bedtime. That was our bedtime ritual every night, to recite after my mom that prayer. We don't say them now anymore, especially since we have both grown up and now pray on our own. But every time my mom would lay on her knees by my bed, tell me to close my eyes and say those words, I was always excited and felt at peace. I always thought my mom created the prayer but I found out later that it's a decently popular prayer, either way I still love it to this day and plan on doing the same with my children.
