This chain brings me memories of my grandmother and is one of the most precious objects I have ever had. My grandmother lived with us, helped us and cared a lot for us, her family. I remember  how she took care of us every time my mom had to go to work; she was like our second mom. But now I have been in the United States for almost four years. Before I came here, my grandmother gave me this chain that had belonged to my grandpa. That moment was very special and beautiful. When she gave me the chain, she told me to wear it always because it would protect me. It also has a crucifix on it. Since that day, I have worn it everywhere and I never take it off. It brings me many beautiful memories and is also something that symbolizes the affection that my grandmother has for me.
