The Puerto Rican Machete

This is a machete from Puerto Rico. It is usually used to cut food. This is made out of wood and has Puerto Rico carved out on it. The one I have is more of a display. It came from my Great Great grandmother who migrated with my family from Puerto Rico. We called her Wella we got it from Abuela. She gave it to my mother before she passed away. This object is important to me because it comes from my where some of my culture/Identity is from. It now belongs to my mom, my brother and I. - Anyssa H
