The Lucky Necklace
My jade necklace was passed down from my grandfather to my dad then to me. They all stopped wearing the jade necklace at the age of ten. My grandfather thought it was good luck to wear for life. My grandfather bought the jade because he thought it was really valuable. It was dusty and old. My grandfather cleaned it well so he could see what designs the jade had in it. He didn’t know what designs the jade had in it. He didn’t know type of god was carved on it so he researched it and found out it was a Buddhist god. He stopped wearing it at the age of ten because it was bothering his neck. Then he put it in a safe place until he passed it onto my dad and then my dad gave it to me.
