Jewelry Box
My mom has a wooden jewelry box. The hinges on the back allows it to open like a shoebox, and it is made of sand-like materials, with shells on the side, and a hole on the top filled with shells, with this hole covered with a piece of glass. My mother received the chest when she was leaving her mother in Mexico. Although my mother was not the oldest, smartest, or strongest of her siblings, she had a caring heart. This what caused my grandmother to give her the jewelry box. The jewelry box has been in my family for generations. My great-grandmother gave my grandmother the jewelry box which she passed down to my mom and that will be passed to my younger sister because she is the first and only girl in my family.
