This Jade Necklace is an item that was passed down from my grandmother to my mother. It is a symbol of tranquility and good fortune, but for me, it also represents something much more. I relate this necklace with the Chinese culture that brings my family and me together, even after migrating to the United States from China. Although I only remember my grandmother through my parent’s photo albums, this necklace ties me to her as if I was reliving my childhood with her.
