Thoub
A Thoub is a traditional Arab robe/outfit. Men wear this at home as pajamas, on special occasions or outside in the public or on the streets. You Mainly see men wearing them on the streets in ether India, Egypt, Makkah, Madina, Yemen or a bunch of other places. There is also a hat that a lot of men wear with their Thoub called a coofie. There are only Red and gold ones and white ones, white and gold ones and sometimes black and gold ones. When I wear a Thoub I feel like I am wearing not just a piece of cloth but a piece of history. A few questions I would like to ask my parents about a Thoub is who started wearing/making them, why don’t women wear them and why do we wear them. We mainly wear this when we pray on Ramadan, Eid or at home. I usually just wear it on Ramadan to pray oh one second I need to pray right now. Fun Fact: Did you know that you should pray five times a day. I pray five times in Ramadan but not on every day because the first one is at 5:00 am. Another thing about the Thoub is that you could buy one for three to five dollars at a local shop/market. A phoota is important to me because it is a big part of my life/culture. Thoub are what my prophets wore. Also a lot of other people in history. That is all the reasons why I chose a Thoub as my artifact.
