My parents immigrated to America in 1999 just after my brother was born in England. Just before my parents immigrated, they bought my brother a stuffed teddy bear. This was to keep my brother entertained on the plane ride to America. He carried it around with him everywhere. It was his favorite toy. My brother gave this to me on the day I was born. He put it in my crib when I first got home from the hospital. This object was from 1999 just after my brother was born. It is kept in my bedroom to this day. This object is a reminder from where my parents grew up. It shows how my parents came from a rough area in england to now living in chappaqua. It shows how far they came. When my parents came to america, they first went to Queens, and now they moved here.
