I remember not too long ago (pre-covid), I was in the frame shop helping my parents organize some stuff on the shelfs in the counter. I remember people walking up to the store wanting to get things framed, bringing one, two, three pieces of artwork in. I remember my parents introducing me to them and me seeing the beautiful artwork they brought. 
The frame shop all started three generations ago as a paint and wallpaper shop, weird right. Well that is because small paint shop businesses were closing at the time and bigger businesses were getting more customers. But then it passed down to my grandparents, making it a frame shop, then to my parents. Hopefully my brother and I’s dreams will come true and some day we will work there too, wanting it to be a frame shop.
I hope more family owned businesses “come back” to town because I love the idea of a family owned picture framing business. The family owned part makes it feel like you are at home even when you are at work because you are with your family. If you're the customer you feel good when you work with a family owned business.
