My great grandfather came to America in search of a better life as many have throughout the years. My grandfather had a teddy bear with him throughout the years of his early childhood that was from Puerto Rico; his native home. Since there was little money to be earned and little appreciation for Puerto Rican Immigrants, the bear was more of an escape than anything. Something to love. New York city was rough, so it was nice to have something soft by his side.
