Floral Tea Cup

When my grandma moved from Bangladesh to New York, she couldn't bring a lot of things. But she really wanted to bring one special tea cup. It wasn't a fancy cup, but it was important to her. It had little flowers painted on it. Back in Bangladesh, she used to drink tea with her family every morning with cups like this one. So, this tea cup was like a small piece of her old home that she could keep with her in a new place. It helped her remember her family, her old life, and all the things she loved, especially tradition. Years later, my grandma gave it to my mom as a gift. Now, the tea cup is on my shelf, and when I see it, I think about my grandma and how brave she was to start a new life in a whole different country.
