Around 1970 my Great Grandma gave my Grandma a Tartan Plaid Scarf. On the tag of the scarf there is a short story describing the history of my Great Grandmother's Family, so whenever my Grandma sees it she is reminded of her mom, who sadly passed away. This scarf was made in Scotland and is made out of 100% Lambswool. I learned about this object and its importance in my family this year from my Grandmother. She shared with me that her mother got it in Scotland, her country of origin. It has been kept in my family and is important because it represents our heritage and shares the story of our ancestors and the clan they were a part of. Without this story I would have never known this history about my family and that my ancestors came from Scotland. Even though I never got to meet my great grandmother myself I was still able to learn so much about her and my family’s story just because of this scarf.
