My artifact is a tamale. The reason why I chose this was because at first, I didn't know what to pick. The other reason is because Mexican food is the only thing keeping my culture firm. I was born in Mexico but raised in America. I really don't have memories of me doing things in my country and it makes me sad because it's where I was born. Being an American really doesn't mean anything to me, apart from the fact that they obtain opportunities more easily, but that doesn't mean I can. Everyone has the chance to succeed in America, and to me it's way satisfying if I was from some other country working and struggling to be at the same spot if I was American.
