When my aunt, Noemi came from Mexico she brought nothing much with her. But when she was here and had enough to buy things, she began to buy a lot of Mexican Ceramic plates. To her these plates are more than just ordinary plates. she sees these plates as memories of her past. they remind her of when she was a little girl in Mexico and of her grandmother. She collects them for the sake of keeping the Mexican tradition and memory in her family and to be passed down as a "treasure".
