Stuffed Animal
When I was little I was given a stuffed rabbit from my biological dad when he and my mom used to live together. I loved animals and toys as a child so I fell in love with it the moment I saw it. My parents divorced when I was young, so I barely got to see my biological dad since he and my mom didn’t get along. This simple object reminds me of the good times. I wish I grew up with both my dad and my mom, because life has been hard since I had two siblings and my mom was raising all of us by herself. We struggled with housing and buying necessities we needed, such as clothes. After my mom remarried, things got better for all of us, which I’m happy for. But before my mom remarried, holding this small stuffed animal close to me would give me reassurance that everything would be okay. And now it is and life has been getting better and better ever since then. I still have this animal. I don’t use it as much as I used to but it’s still very special to me and I will never forget its worth.
