Stone with Angle on it
My object is a stone with an angle on it. This was my grandma's stone, but she decided to gave it to me because she wants the angel to watch over me. Her older sister gave it to her when my grandma was going to leave to go to the U.S. Even though her older sister couldn't go with her, she wanted to give it to my grandma so that she could have the angle watching over her. Once my Grandma had a kid, and grandchildren, she decided she was going to pass it on. My grandma took this stone with her from Puerto Rico, her home country, to America. She came to America when she was 10 years old. While she was traveling, she faced many challenges, including not knowing any English and having a hard time understanding people. My grandma was born in Puerto Rico but decided to come to the United States because her family wanted a better life. Additionally, in Puerto Rico there were no jobs and the people who raised her didn't have enough money to support all of her siblings. My grandma says that the stone is very important to her because my grandma and her older sister were very close. The stone is silver, has an angle on it, and is small- about the size of a quarter. Overall this stone symbolizes her strength and her connection to her home country.
