My great Grandparents were born in the Ukraine. They came to America during the early 19 century in the search for a better life. My great grandfather carried a vintage Sterling Silver pocket watch. Later on my grandfather was born in america and was given the pocket watch. He then passed it down to my uncle Peter. This watch means so much to my family because it has very important sentimental value. It tells a story of where my great grandparents came from. The watch is passed down to the first born son in the family. Unfortunately it was not passed down to my mom so I don't have possession of the watch. I do hope one day I will receive the watch. This watch was so important for my great grandfather because telling time back then was crucial. It also was not as easy as looking at a phone like we do now. People back then did not have access to such technology. Even though the watch today has no monetary value it still holds great meaning in my family's history.
