My item is my first pair of soccer cleats. Bright colors, fit for very small feet, and pretty beat up. Ever sense I can remember I had always had a love for soccer. I used to watch my older brother play and I would always want to do the same. I would always try to do skills I saw my brother do while the ball was half my size. Even though I didn't realize it for most of my life, my brother may be the biggest influence on who I am now. When he tried new things, after while after I would want to do the same, and my parents would support me. So, when my parents saw that I wanted to play soccer, they immediately signed me up and got me the things I needed to play, particularly these cleats. From there I grew up being "the soccer kid," my whole personality was about soccer, my parents would always be there to cheer me on and my brother would practice with me. Although I have no real use for these cleats now I keep them as a decoration. Looking at these cleats it makes me think of the many years I've been playing this sport, but moreover the way my brother has shaped me into the person I am, and the endless support that my family gives me no matter what it is. I believe that family is more than the people you are related to, true family are people who will support you through whatever, I think that family can be shown through these cleats.
