My family is from Somalia and soccer is important in my family, with our cherished soccer ball, fondly known as “Kick,” at its center. From the earliest days of my walking experience, Kick became a steadfast companion in our backyard, where family gatherings frequently revolved around friendly matches. Every weekend marked a time for us to come together and engage in spirited play, creating an atmosphere rich with laughter, competitiveness, and teamwork.

These shared moments have considerably strengthened our family ties as we embraced values such as dedication, respect, and effective communication throughout the game.
