Snow White Doll
My object is a small doll of Snow White. The six inch doll has her signature dress on with some small additions, like ribbons that are through her dress and a white apron-like addition. She has black slide-on shoes with black beads holding the strap on the top of the shoe. She has black, now tangled, curly hair with a ribbon in it. Lastly, she has a basket with three apples. This was a gift given to me on Christmas when I was about four by my aunt who lives in California. And it is meant to be a nursery box that you wind up so it will spin. It sings the song “Lullaby and Goodnight.” This object is important to me as it connected me with an aunt who I hadn’t really seen that often. It helped me calm down with a small nursery rhyme when I was small. It reminds me of when I was just a little kid. This means so much to me. It reminds me that my family, extended or not, still cares about me. This represents me as a way to show that I care for my family, and that they care for me.
