Small Honduras flag
Whenever I close my eyes, I think back to sandy beaches, palm trees, and a language I don't understand. What I'm talking about is Honduras, my mom's home country, and where most of my heritage come from. I have a smaller version of the flag that my mom gave me so that I can remember my heritage.
When my mom came to America, she was carrying a smaller flag to remember where she came from. Now, 38 years later, I carry the same flag to remember what she did to get me here. Spanish, the native language of Honduras, I have yet to learn, but I have a feeling that my Honduras flag will help me in the long run.
My Honduras flag is dear to me greatly. My mom came to this country with it, and I continue the memory of Honduras with it.
