Grandparents Wedding Photo
This is a photo from my grandparent's wedding in 1952. Although they were not immigrants themselves, both of their parents immigrated from Italy in the early 1900s. Whenever I see this photo I am reminded of the far-reaching history of my family and what each of my ancestors went through in order to provide me with the life I am so fortunate to have today. In the photo is my great-grandfather, Luigi (third from the left) who as an immigrant came to the United States in search of opportunity and worked tirelessly to support him and his family. This photo is one of the many rewards of all that hard work. As he was able to give his daughter the wedding she had always wanted and instill the same values in her that he had. Those values were shared by my grandfather and were passed down on to my father who passed them to me. I am thankful every day for the life I have today and it wouldn't be possible if not for the people in this photo.
