An object that is special to my family is my great-grandfathers set of silver wear. My great- grandfather was a silversmith and a silver polisher. Both jobs meant that he was polishing and creating silver items. This set of silverwear was one of many creations that he took part in while completing his job. My great-grandfather immigrated to the United States on July 7th, 1937 via Ellis Island. He and his family all immigrated into the United States at all different times because of the .World War II. When he immigrated, his job stayed the same as a silversmith. Our family has used this silverware as a sign remembrance. My aunt keeps this item since it’s a very important object for her to keep.  Every holiday as a family, we admire our old items from our immigrant family to learn it’s important values. Looking back at these items can teach us how important lessons for our lives. These items are very important in our lives today, they teach about the meanings of our ancestors and our family today.
