Silver Ring From my dsad

My object is a silver ring.  It was made in Guinea where my father is from.  My father made two similar silver rings one for me and one for him on my 13th birthday.  It is very important to my Mandingo culture if your son resembles you.   You have to make silver rings for both of you. To me, the silver ring represents my father's love for me.  Now that I live in Minnesota the ring can’t fit on my finger but I keep it in my room inside a little jewelry box in my closet.  Every time I miss my dad I take the silver ring and put it on my pinky finger.  It does not fit well but I feel like we are connected even though he lives in Guinea because he has one on his hand too.
