This Sapphire ring was originally from my great, great aunt, Joan Toomey. My aunt was born on March, 1930 and passed away is 1992 from cancer. We still do not understand why the ring was Sapphire, due to the fact that she was born in March. We can only assume the ring was passed down before her or she bought it for herself. When my aunt passed away the ring was given to my Grandmother, Marie Pfeiffer. She was born on January,1955 and sadly passed away in 2006. This happens to be the year before I was born. The ring continued to move through our family as my mother received the ring. My mother will then some day pass the ring down to me or one of my siblings. We will pass down it down to our kids with the hope that the ring will continue through our family for years to come.
