This Saint originated from Zacatecas, Mexico. It was gifted to my mother when she first came to the United States so it is very special to her. She does a rosary for the saint every year around this time that is 9 days long. During this time we pray the rosary and sing song thanking the saint for all the great miracles or blessings it has brought to us. My mom changes his dress every year January. She mentions to me that when she came she felt like part of her mom was with her because she remembers her mother being very passionate about her mom praying to this saint. It has been passed down to my sister when she became a home owner my mom gifted to her to El Nino de Atocha can bless her home. Along the Saint, my sister has a picture of my grandparents which makes it a very nice peaceful picture to see when coming into her house.
