Sandals
My family has always been able to keep our traditions and the traditions of their ancestors alive. There are many artifacts that both my mom and dad hold dear to their hearts. However one of the most important ones is a pair of sandals that my father received when my little brother was born. These sandals are made of leather and have straps going around the foot, they are open toe and are brown. These sandals are the typical attire for a Mexican farmer and their child. A relative sent them from a small city in Mexico. We keep these shoes in a visible spot on a bookshelf in the room my little brother and sister share to remind us that they are the attire that a typical Mexican farmer wears. My dad also grew up on a farm in Mexico so I can always look at them and remember where he came from and how he grew up.
