This necklace connects to my family and my religion greatly. This necklace is called the rosary. I was first taught what this really meant when I was about six years old. When I use the rosary, I say a prayer, then slide a bead, and then go on to the next prayer. I would go around the entire necklace until I would run out of beads to slide. I don’t know the entire rosary yet because it takes a while to remember. The rosary includes many prayers including the “Hail Mary” and the “Our Father.” My grandma also has a strong connection with the rosary. I grew up with my parents, but went to my grandmother's house every day. I watched my grandmother do the rosary every day in her rocking chair. Everytime I see a rosary, Ithinks of these moments, and my connection with my grandmother.
