Rosario

Above, I have pictured a pink Rosario very similar to the one given to me by my Grandmother. "Rosarios" also known as Rosaries are a sentimental religious object in the Catholic Religion. In my family, my grandma gifts you a rosario specifically for you that she gets blessed by a Priest the day you are born. My grandmother has given each of her 10 grandchildren a special rosario. It is also a tradition that if you travel with   her, you will stop at the Catholic Church to get your rosario blessed by the designated Priest. Fortunately for myself, I have visited Mexico City with my grandmother and had the blessing to visit the 2nd most popular church in the Catholic Religion, following the Vatican. This church is believed to be on the mountain Juan Diego first saw The Mother Mary. It was a special moment for me to get my rosario blessed at such an important church with my grandmother who worships so frequently. Although myself and many of my cousins are not the most religious, we respect my grandma's beliefs and view the rosario blessing as a family tradition.
