Rocking chair made out of oak and wicker

In most houses these days, you'll find new and modern furniture. Though in my dad's house, you can find a very old and meaningful rocking chair. It's been with my dad and I for my whole life and will probably continue to stay with me for the rest of my life. Made out of what seems to be oak wood and paper wicker, it was made by my great great great grandfather. His family migrated to North Carolina from England around the 1600s. It truly is a beautiful piece of furniture that he made and it's so fascinating that it was made over a century ago. You can tell it's an antique by simply looking at it's design and intricate details. Trying to find a rocking chair like this one nowadays would be incredibly difficult. It has been passed down through my father's family and has been taken well care of for so long. I hope that when I am older, I'll have the privilege to continue taking care of it and appreciating its beauty and history.
