Turning 15 as a female is a big tradition to my cultural/religion. In Mexican culture on a girls 15th birthday is a mark to her passage to womanhood, to give thanks to God for his blessings, and to present a young woman to the community. On my 15th birthday, I was given many things. One of the many special things I was given was a ring. A ring given to me by my mother. The meaning behind that ring is symbolizing the circle of life. My ring is used as a place mark to hopefully be replaced by an engagement or wedding ring. My ring also has religious meaning, reminding me of God's unconditional love. My 15th birthday ring was my fist every ring. I will forever cherish and love the meaning behind it.
