ring my mom gave to me

My mom has passed down this ring to me because her mother had passed it down to her too. She was very happy to receive it and like her, and I was too when she gave it to me. When my mom was given this ring, she was 19 years old but had given it to me at the age of 11. My mom had told me that the ring has been in the family for more than 10 generations and the ring was made from gold found in the water of Teuchitlán, Jalisco Mexico. It was made in the same town that my family from my mom’s side of the family is from and has lived in fro a very long time. I try to take very good care of the ring because it is old, even though I have broken it already. I had broken the ring when I was 15. It had simply slipped off my ring and as I was trying to find it, I ended up stepping on it. I don’t wear it often because I feel that I will misplace it like my mom had done before for 2 years. If I ever have kids in the future I will be looking forward to giving them this ring since it symbolizes my families history.  The rings design is a symbol used to show love, two things united as one. Even though the ring is small, it means a lot and I think that’s the important part.
