My name is Gilan. I came to the US in 2011. I came from Egypt. My personal object is rice pudding. When I see the object I remember my aunt’s rice pudding. It was a very popular dish in Egypt. It is made with rice and milk. Rice pudding was eaten at family parties. When I was 12 years old I liked this food because I saw my family and my cousins. Now when I see it I feel happy and sad because I remember when we spent special times together. Now, I cannot be with my family because we are in different places.
