Ribbons
Some things that I cherish the most are these ribbons because they hold a special place in my heart. My grandma and I used to show cats together. When I got taken away from my parents, I was 8 at the time. This changed my life, but at least my grandma tried to make me happy. Her way of doing that was by showing me what she loved to do. We would do cat shows, and that is how we won the ribbons. I got to help her get the cats ready, and that was how we both enjoyed spending time together. When we weren't getting cats ready, I was talking to my grandpa. He and I got a super close connection with each other, but now he has Parkinson's and he's starting to forget me. They both moved away, and now we don’t talk that much. We call sometimes, but not very much, and when we talk it’s like talking to a stranger. So, this is one thing that I will always remember and will always keep close to my heart, because they might not be blood related, but they are still my grandparents. It hurts to have them not remember me, but I will always remember them.
