Red-stringed bracelet

On my first birthday, my mother gently surrounded my tiny wrist with a red bracelet.Even though I had no idea on what it was, it still felt important to me. My mother, afraid of losing it, hid it away so I wouldn’t lose it.But what exactly is it? I had no idea. My family was christian and therefore, after many google searches and such, I found that people wore this bracelet to wear off misfortune. It’s three golden beads stood in the center of the woven red string, each apart by about half a centimeter. It shone just like my curiosity for this object that was given to me so early but I still had no clue about it. I gently tapped my mother on the shoulder. “What exactly is it?” I asked. She smiles warmly and bends down to my height. “The bracelets’ purpose is to solely protect people, therefore, bringing you fortune, luck, and success ever since you were only one. It’s so important that your grandmother even made it with real gold beads in the middle!”Although I had no clue on this, I realized how much this tiny woven string’s worth was. It was meant to protect those you love, bringing family, culture, and lastly, traditions all together.
