I am not too sure about my parents' travel journey to America. I was born in America and I am the youngest in the family but an object that always sticks within my family would be red envelopes. Red envelopes to us are a symbol of luck and connections, the reason why this probably connects to their journey is because of the tradition. To this day my family still receives and gives out red envelopes to relatives and friends. This can probably show their journey to the U.S.A because recently when I traveled to Asia I received red envelopes for safe travel and also the way back home from relatives I stayed with. There are certain scenarios where you will receive red envelopes, mostly when you are about to travel internationally in a plane or a special holiday like Chinese New Year. It brings us good memories and luck but also protects us from bad luck. (Sorry if I am being repetitive, I don’t really know my parent’s story on their travels but I am giving you something that probably happened during their travels to America and diving into the object.)
