Korean-English Bible
My parents both grew up in Korea, and had their parents live through the Korean War. The following years after the war, Koreans began viewing Americans and their country as the best, and began to emulate them. In fact, many aspects of Korean life reflect life in the States. This led my parents to emigrate to the States shortly after marrying. In an attempt to become more like the Americans they looked up to, they began to go to a Protestant church, although previously being loosely Buddhist. They knew little English, and the majority of the English they know today was learned in Church and the direct translations provided in this Bible.
